A problem with sending email to kindle

I am new to Kindle device and obviously calibre too. Getting my first kindle tomorrow. So I decided to install calibre in my laptop today and try to send some books via email to my kindle cloud (android app).

I don't know the reason but was unable to create a GMX account. So I created a new Hotmail account and added it to kindle personal documents email list.

I tried sending a book via email in calibre to my kindle email multiple times but doesn't reach my android app at all.

Then I saved the converted book to my disk and sent it via the usual Gmail account. And the book was available in the android app.

What am I doing wrong? Can anyone share their set up on this "share via email" option in calibre?

When you set up Calibre Preferences: Sharing by email:
What happened when you used the TEST EMAIL button?
(note: that your firewall/security may need to be configured to allow Calibre to send mail to a different REGULAR email account. It should arrive as an look something like this

Did you add the Hotmail email address to the "Approved Personal Document E-mail List" in "Personal Document Settings" of your Amazon account?

Ok, new update. Got it to work with Gmail and email is being sent successfully. But now it is unavailable in my amazon cloud. Not at all visible in kindle android app.

Does the app have a DOCS and a BOOKS tab? Have you looked in the DOCS tab?
