Good reads integration

I tried to look it up but couldn’t find anything so I am assuming that Kobo does not offer the goodreads integration yet like Kindle does?

Do you guys think that this is something Kobo might offer with time?

Well, goodreads, as much as I love the site for tracking what I intend to read, is owned by Amazon. It's highly unlikely there will be any integration officially supplied by Kobo

Goodreads now owned by Amazon and now exists to feed their marketing. It's best not used on the Kindle. Or directly.

See also https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...ions_by_Amazon

I use a note taking / text editor on my phone, that doesn't contact anyone, to have a text list of books I want to get or want to read.

I doubt if we will see Goodreads integration on the device. Amazon probably wouldn't allow it. And I don't think there is an another choice that is big enough to make it worthwhile.

There is some integration through calibre. With my Kobo Utilities plugin, you can fetch the reading status from the device. Then the Goodreads Sync plugin can be used to send the reading status to GR. Not as simple as on a Kindle, but, it does get some data there.

As others have answered, not likely. However, your question reminded me that Kobo bought Shelfie. (https://www.theverge.com/2017/4/9/15...counted-ebooks)

I've not seen Shelfie integration and haven't heard a word about it since this news item in 2017. Does anybody know what came of that acquisition?
