Unhappy All spaces lost in conversion from PDF

Hello,

I have calibre 3.36 on Fedora.

I am trying to convert a PDF file to read on the Kindle but, whatever output formats, I try, all spaces are lost making the text unreadable.

[edit]

Not posting an output file because I suspect it is subject to copyright (I did not upload the source file).

Conversion https://pastebin.com/rXcZ1xDY

Would appreciate any hints as to how to fix this.

PDF is the very worst format to convert from and usually the result is poor. The only way to fix a bad PDF conversion is to manually edit it (can't do that with mobi, of course).

Why not just load the original on your Kindle? Kindles support PDF, although the reading experience is far from ideal. But it's hardly any worse than the reading of a poorly converted PDF.

As for the link you posted, if this is the book I think it is from a Google search on the title, yes, it is in copyright.
