It's now my fourth week with my Kobo forma. This is my first eReader and I am so happy with it. I read more now than I did when I was reading eBooks on my smartphone or laptop.
today, I tried something that I have never done with my Kobo Forma before. I started long tapping words and selecting them for highlights or to make notes. It was not a good experience. I'd be willing to pay $10 more if Kobo company installed a faster processor. because the way it is there's a huge delay between long tapping and the context menu popping up. I'm used to how things are on a smartphone or laptop where, right immediately after you long tap or right-click, the context menu appears without any delay. And there is another problem related to this one. When I want to select more than one word, it is a pain to drag those whatchamacallit to an extended position. I sometimes over select or under select because of the delay. I would say this is a user interface user experience problem (UI/UX). These delays really diminish my reading experience. Is there a patch / hack/ tweak for this? Last edited by droopy; 09-10-2019 at 10:09 PM. |
