edit mobi format

Is there any possibility of edit a mobi format, specifically splitting it into several smaller ones?

No, you can edit only EPUB and AZW3 formats. Convert the MOBI to one of them first.

I've tried both online services and software, but it fails even though it can be opened by readers.

Here's the file I am trying to convert

The file is too many pages long, so much so that it cannot even be opend by the reader without freezing, therefore dividing it into several smaller ones would help

Here's the message that pops up in Calibre reader.
