Can the Forma be Opened/Repaired? Battery Replaced?
Specifically can the battery be replaced as easily as other models when the time comes?
I know opening this kind of waterproof device ruins the waterproofing but I dont care about that as long as it would let you get a few more years life out of it... |

Opening the Forma won't change the waterproofing. They use a coating on the electronics to do this. But, to replace the battery, you will need to break the seals around the connectors. That will ruin that part of the waterproofing. Otherwise, I haven't opened the one in our house, but, from the photos of the board, I didn't think it would be any different from the other devices.
