- I install it this morning (via Chinese language), battery is not discharging so fast in standby.

Seven Lines for one page (for 7.8 screen), you are serious ??

Maybe one of them was fixed but the three problems that upset me are

• Neoreader doesn't support embedded fonts. I tried both epub3 and epub2. No cigar.
  
• Neoreader forces justified margins, even when the css specifies left (ragged right).
  
• In their book browser when you long press on a book it brings up a menu with "open with" but then the only thing I can choose is neoreader. I tried installing several others but they never showed up in the open with window.

Based on the comments here it sounds like this is another update that will be pulled. Hopefully they can have a fully working one by July. The 2.0.1 update that comes on the Note Pro isn't too bad but I really did like the features that were previewed with the 2.1.1. Will give it another day or 2 to consider returning the device and waiting for them to figure it all out.

Yes it's true.
- Moreover, it doesn't work either all "pseudo-class en CSS", nor ordinary "text-shadow : ".
- My problem with "line-spacing " I solved thit with installation NeoReader 2.0.1 which I use instead of NeoReader 3.0

In their book browser when you long press on a book it brings up a menu with "open with" but then the only thing I can choose is neoreader. I tried installing several others but they never showed up.

- Try searching the books directly in the app, as with KOBO_READER

Yeah, I've installed koreader and it works beautifully. But fer crying out loud, this thing cost $500+! I shouldn't have to install 3rd party software for basic functionally.

That's very odd. On my Nova Pro with the 2.1.1 firmware, if I long press on a book and select the "Open with" option, all seven of the ereader apps which I have on my device are listed as available options.

That has always been my experience on my various Onyx devices with their various firmwares over my short history using their products.

I wonder what could account for your differing experience...

What's up with the battery issue?

I charged mine to 100% overnight, used it to read some piano sheet music for a little while this morning, then went for a bike ride. When I returned it was down to 46%! I wasn't running any processes, and I don't even think I had wifi on.

I assume that you manually played around with the various spacing settings in NeoReader 3.0...

I have sometimes found that the default options need to be tweaked for certain books.

The other thing that's weird is I decided to delete a bunch of azw3 books I'd uploaded and rather than go through and delete them all I did a factory reset. When it booted up it gave me some Chinese stuff which it certainly did not the first time I used it. The factory reset did keep the existing update.

How did you find previous version of NeoReader?
Can it be extracted from firmware ?
After my adventures with upgrading and lucky rollbacking my Nova, i decided to stuck with firmware 6.0.1 / 2018-12-26 basically for keeping Neoreader 2.0 safe..
I Would like to have NeoReader also on my smartphone/tablet , to keep a standard experience across devices

Hi, I have a link to Neoreader 2.0 which is available on my google drive (link below, which I shared on a different thread). It worked for me and others that tried it.
I can confirm that it works on my Onyx Boox Max 2 Pro running firmware 2.1.1. So by long pressing on the document/book in the storage I can choose whether to use Neoreader 3.0 or 2.0 (etc).

The contents of the folder are:

knote_tar_unsuccesful (these are the files you tried previously and didnt work, so ignore it but I left them in case) IGNORE THIS
kreader 2_release (this is the folder I extracted with adb procedure you sent me)
kreader2_release.apk (this is the *.apk file which is in the previous folder, and I tried to compress it and didnt work.) TRY THIS FIRST

Remember to tick the install from unknown sources, there is an apk file. Good luck!!
