Help please :D Kobo or Sony?

Hey. I wanted to ask, what do you guys think about the first Kobo Aura, that's been discontinued?

During an office cleanup we managed to find a box of it (all unopened), so all of us took one home. I currently own a Sony PRS-T2 which I'm very happy with to be honest, even though it's not back lit etc. At the end of the day, I only read books on it, don't use it for much else. The reason I'm asking your opinion is because I only need one e-reader if I'm honest. From a seller point of view I'm guessing the Aura might sell quicker cause it's brand new, not sure how much it's worth though.

Just my opinion, I could be wrong and likely am...but if you’re still happy with your current device, go ahead and sell the Aura. If/when your Sony t2 no longer makes you happy, likely by then there will be new or better devices out anyway.

The original Aura was a fine machine for its time as well as being from a company that is still in the ereading business. I too would bet on it selling better.

The only real issue I have with it is the CPU is a bit slow, and if you use an SD card, it sticks out a bit, so you are at risk of accidentally ejecting and losing the card. |

I used to feel that I only needed one ereader also. I'd keep them both, why not have a backup?

I've only ever played around with the Sony PRS 505 I own, so I can't say how much of an improvement the Aura would be. Quote:

I'm of the opinion that you should keep both as well. Having a front-lit reader may come in handy from time to time--and a backup is always good to have. And frankly, both the Sony TR-2 and the Kobo Aura are older models, so not really sure if you'd be able to get enough for either to make it worth your while to sell either one.

Thanks for the feedback guys, much appreciated. I'll see if I can find someone who wants to buy it, otherwise it will become my spare device.
