How dim is the Mimas frontlight?

I read review saying in total 24 steps you gotta go 20 to keep normal brighrness, is this real?

It depends on your eyesight.

For me, the light array can go from very dim to very bright. Level 20 is too bright for me, and I can do with at least level 2. Level 1 would be dim enough that I wouldn't be able to focus.
