docx to mobi conversion: how to increase line spacing
I'm trying to convert a docx file to a mobi file for use on my Kindle Oasis, but I would like to increase the line spacing on the mobi file so that when I read it on my kindle the lines are a little further apart. Is there a simple setting in Calibre that I can adjust in order to do this easily? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

When you use Convert Books, in the Look & Feel section is Minimum line height. Mouse over that and read the comment at the bottom of the window. Also, you may have better success converting to the AZW3 format; mobi is ancient and unnecessary and has been superseded by AZW3, even though lots of web sites talk like mobi is the latest and greatest.

I appreciate your reply. When I convert from docx to azw3 it seems to work relatively well to adjust the line spacing. I haven't been able to get it to work with a docx to mobi conversion. The reason I want to use mobi is that I can send my converted mobi files to amazon and download them to my kindle, thus having a backup in the cloud. If I want to delete them from my kindle I can download them again later. Amazon doesn't allow me to send them awz3 files, so if I want backups, I only have the one on my laptop, rather than having one on the amazon cloud. Not the end of the world, but it is nice to have access to files I delete from my kindle without having my computer handy. Will keep experimenting with the docx to mobi conversion to see if I can get the line height to cooperate. Thanks again for your help!

IIRC you can convert to joint MOBI which contains both a MOBI and azw3 and amazon allows you to send that. But it has other issues.
The MOBI format has no support for CSS (it is based on HTML 3.2) so you aren't going to be able to adjust line height in it, |
