Looking into buying Forma
I was going to buy Pocketbook Inkpad 3 or Likebook Mars, but i just found out Forma has Mobius screen which is good thing for me because just yestarday my Inkpad 3 fell from table and screen broke, and generally i am not very carefull with my devices.
But i saw a lot of people have problems with uneven lightning, flickering and grey stripe on the right side of the screen, so before i order one i want to know did they fix those issues? |

Not that we know of (EDIT: Speaking of the light stripe on the button's side, which is the only actual real issue, everything else you mentioned is gobbledygook in practice. There may also be a very, very, very faint horizontal gradient in light intensity, but that's much harder to discern, and par for the course with light guides anyway, especially at that screen size).
Whether it actually bothers you enough in actual usage (as opposed to nitpicky examination) to offset all the good the Forma has to offer, you'll have to decide for yourself, which, granted, is easier if you're in a location where you can return it without much hassle in the (unlikely) case you're not satisfied with it. Hiya,
Long term member/lurker here, first time poster. I bought the Forma 32Gb last week. Its got the grey stripe on the right, but i dont even notice it after a few minutes. Light seems even enough though, and no flickering that I notice. I upgraded from an Aura One. I liked it overall, but found the touchscreen very inaccurate. The Forma is night and day. I love the size and shape, and its a lot lighter. Overall, I am loving it, its a good upgrade for me. Regards Scott |

Hi there!
I also have a Forma. Best e-reader I've owned yet! Flickering on the device is non-existent in reality (to my eyes and many others in these forums). There is a "grey stripe" where the screen meets the side of the body with the buttons, but the lighting across the rest of the device is very even on mine, especially for a larger screen device. It took about 5 minutes after using it the first time to disregard it anytime I use it since my text display settings don't ever display text in that very small stripe of the screen. Overall, a great device. As @NiLuJe says, buying from a physical location where you could easily return if you want would be best, but in the US, I haven't found a way to order the 32GB one at Walmart, just the 8GB Forma is available. Don't know if that's an issue for you. |

My first Forma was defective (buggy touchscreen) and I exchanged it for a new one. That was in April and the new one still has the lighting stripe issue on the side of the screen. I don't mind it, though.

Got a Forma 2 weeks ago and the stripe is there (keeping the frontlight at max for 3 days didn't make it better at all despite what other users would claim). Flickering is unnoticeable but you would need to be blind not to see the stripe, it's very visible on all brightness levels and color temperatures, if you plan to use the frontlight a lot (in contrast to using another light source) I would not recommend the Forma. Everything else: design, speed, touch accuracy, battery life is top notch.

The gray stripe on mine was faint to begin with, and appears to have grown fainter over time (I keep my frontlight at about 8% at all times). I bought mine shortly after the device was released.
It's the nicest ereader I've ever owned - the ergonomics are great, it's light and large and immensely pleasurable to read on. |

I only notice the stripe on the right when I crank the built in light up but I never do that normally, which is about 3% or so.
