How do I reinstall my library?

I had calibre on my computer. The hard drive died. I have a new hard drive and I had my calibre library saved in the cloud.

I've reinstalled calibre on my new hard drive. I have the calibre folder from my old hard drive saved on my computer. HOW do I get the program to RECOGNIZE it?

Using the Calibre icon to switch/create a library doesn't work. It tells me there's already a library there. I tried library maintenance. That didn't work.

In switch/create library select the option to "Use existing library at the location"

If I leave the New location blank it says "no location selected."
If I choose the current library it says "The location xxxx contains the current calibre library."
Neither one accomplishes anything.

Put in the new location and make sure Use previously existing library is sleected.

If I use my current Calibre Library it tells me there's already a library there.
If I create NEW folder it tells me there's NO library there.

It works fine. I have done it dozens of places/drives.

An EXISTING Library is complete as it stands. You just copy the old one over to the New PC (location), then point Calibre to its location.

It is NOT an empty folder, that is a NEW Library start point or a destination for a Move (from path A to path B).

If your new install has NO books added, simply copy Calibre Library CONTENTS to the new PC Calibre Library folder. ASSUMES 1)the folders have those names. 2) CALIBRE IS NOT RUNNING when you do this.
