PW2: Slow page turns 2 days after reboot

My PW2 (latest FW) has started to slow down on page turns. Rebooting will fix the problem. However, after a couple of days, the page turns take over a second which is annoying. No indexing is going on and I have only used about half the space available for books.

Anyone else having this problem? I don't think upgrading to the latest PW will make much difference as the HW specs seem about the same.

A second doesn't seem too long. Maybe a techie will come along with some ideas.

Thanks for the welcome. Actually, I've been a lurker for some time.

After a restart, the page turn is almost instantaneous. It is after two days when it reaches 1s that it becomes annoying and I restart. If I don't restart, it continues to slow to 3s or more. It didn't used to be this bad, but in the last few months I find I am restarting much more often.

It seems to me it is a memory leak (SW bug). However, I don't see anyone else complaining.

What kind of content are you reading, and are you doing anything out of the ordinary? On which FW version is that?

FW version is 5.11.1.1. I see there is a 5.11.2, but it hasn't been pushed yet to my kindle yet.

I'm reading books purchased and downloaded from Amazon. I'm not doing anything outside of the ordinary (that I am aware about). Just reading books.

It does seem the problem is more pronounced with larger (800+ page) books.

Have you got the page refresh set to every page?

Refresh every page is turned off. I have checked and there is no indexing going on when it slows down.

I'm into my third day without problems. It is a different book. I am beginning to suspect it is related to the book I am reading.

Strange. You would think it is a pretty common book. Unless it is not a bad book, but simply the length causing issues.
