Hello: Calibre Helo
Hello, how do you remove all calibre references from the OPF? I'm new and not sure have to remove all the prefixes or where to find them.
I'm trying to solve these two errors below. [ERROR]OEBPS/content.opf: 2,213: URL expected instead of calibre: [ERROR]OEBPS/content.opf: 17,46: Undecleared prefix: calibre Thank you |

That said, the Modify ePub plugin can remove non-dc metadata items ==>> Index of calibre plugins I use Sigil's metadata edit tool to get rid of anything else I don't want - e.g. dc:description and superfluous dc:identifiers. Last edited by BetterRed; 09-01-2019 at 06:11 PM. |

Did you use the calibre GUI or command line tools - if you used the GUI ISpark maybe barfing on embedded calibre custom column metadata. You can fix that using the calibre Modify plugin - click its "Remove non dc: metadata elements:" check box.
Or you could open the epub in Sigil, press F8 to get into its metadata editor, delete everything that has calibre in it, run epubcheck, if its okay (should be), save it and send to ISpark. Shouldn't take more than 10 minutes - including download and install of Sigil. What did you use to write the book - e.g MS Word, Office Writer, InDesign... QuarkExpress? Can't ISpark do the conversion from manuscript format - DOCX, ODT, whatever? If not there are arguably better ways to get from a manuscript format to an EPUB format than the calibre conversion way. Think of it like this --- you are in Paris, you drive to Rome, but when you get there you discover you're in Berlin, or that you had an accident in Chambery. BR |

You have to post the OPF so we can see what it is that's wrong with it. You cannot post just the error messages. They aren't enough.
to post in a code block, copy paste the OPF in the message. Click Go Advanced under the message and then highlight the OPF an click the # int he message editor's toolbar. You will see the OPF surrounded by the code block codes. |
