G'Day

Just received a Sony 505 in Indonesia and now figuring a way to get the books i want. Aussie based in Indo and can't buy english books here so e-book was the only answer, now find it impossible to get new release books anyway. I will be seeking a trade off, gift card for money. Any persons in particular i should be seeking out?

Cheers

Well if you want Sony gift cards to buy from the Sony Store, Leaping Gnome has been buying them and sending the codes to members fo quiet a while. Best way would probably be to PM him.

Another option, if you are willing to spend a little time converting would be buy books in Microsoft reader (.lit) format, remove the DRM using ConvertLIT (Google it) and then convert the files using something like Book Designer or Calibar.

That should probably not take more then a minute or two once you figure it out. Search the forum and you'll easily find more detailed instructions.

Ps. and Welcome to the Forum

I've also done this for several members. Feel free to PM me.

Update

Thanks all.

I have found that Adobe Digital Additions has an interface with the Sony e-Book Library, so i get the books in secure pdf and the they replicate with the Sony unit just fine. Loving the fact i can buy books to read now.

So far so good.

Thumbs up Introduce Yourself

I've had a Cybook for about 3 months now. I love how it fits in my purse. When I go to work I sneak it out at my desk and pretend like it's a PDA and that I'm really working. It's great! The only thing I miss about paper books is the smell!
