I have decided to remove all of my digital magazines from calibre and only use it for organizing my ebooks and y magazine based ebooks no actual magazines those can just be stored inside there own folder on the flash drive. It will take up a lot less room and be more organized. I hope this will look better and be easier to setup.
If you have any tips or ideas on how to help with organizing the magazines in there own library or folder please let me know thank you. |

I have never used Calibre for magazines. I use a folder Titled Magazines. Then sub folders for each area of interest like Cooking, Computers and Martial Arts. Then each magazine has it's own folder nested inside. They are sorted by date and I add the date to the front of the title when saving.

I have a new library one is called amazon ebooks with tags like cookbook, diy, crafting, health and so forth. I didn't know how to make different libraries so I went tinkering and got the amazon library done and next I will do magazines with tags as the magazine title. Better Home & Gardens will be 1 tag and then I will keep going by name for the magazine too help organize them. And then I will name the library "Magazines" and for the magazine based ebooks I will just tag them Magazine Ebooks. With extra tags. Such as the ebooks. I hope this makes sense. If someeone could point me in the right direction on how to make tags inside tags that would bee great. Like magazines opens and then there sub tags inside like cooking, diy, how to and so forth.

IMHO Tags would be more about the content (of the issue): Spring Planting, Bedroom decorating. Pizza to die for ![]() I see no good reason to make a TAG value the same as the content of another (standard field), that leads to bloat and inconsistent search results |

I have two at home : one for my eBooks (ePub), the other for my Comics (PDF) and it works wonders being able to quick switch between the 2 libraries. Keeps things nice and tidy! |
