Cool Hey From Florida

Santa Claus came early and brought our household two Kindles, one for hubby and one for me. Thank you Oprah for getting me that extra $100 to spend on books!

I'm nearing retirement (6 months but who's counting? ) after 40 years in education, and I am looking forward to reading (and re-reading) many of the classics. I've already accumulated 8 Kindle pages' worth of books and short stories and wish there were a way to separate the items into logical categories. Is there a way to create sub-folders under the documents folder on the Kindle to facilitate this organization, or do I have to stuff everything into one sock?

I'm looking forward to reading through the fora for "neat stuff." Hubby was amazed that he could play Minesweeper on the Kindle!

brilliant pseudo, MissNomer. welcome to the forum. i don't have a kindle but i'm sure some knowledgeable kindleite ("kindler" ??) will be along shortly with plenty of info. if not, you can try posting your question in the kindle forum ; it will be more visible there.

happy reading.

I know that someone here posted a way to set up folders ... or something like folders ... in the menu.

You can organize things into folders on the drive itself ... using the computer ... but, while I have done that, I mostly don't worry about having the books organized in the menu, if only because it is so easy to use the search function to find just the books I want.

Hi! Listen, you want classics? Click the "e-books" link in the blue bar above. Warning: All hope of maintaining control of your reading list will disappear when you see the thousands of free books here.

Central FL with oranges and cows? I love central FL with oranges and cows!! There's a BBQ place in Ocala, not Sonny's but I can't remember the name, where we always try to stop for lunch when passing through. Also, Ocala has an absolutely jaw-dropping fireworks show on the 4th of July. We found that out by accident one year when we were passing thru to Ft Lauderdale, and it was worth stopping and staying overnight for. We got sooo lost, ended up driving forever alongside white pasture fences in the dark, trying to find our way back to the freeway.

I love central FL with oranges and cows.
