[Solved] Calibre disappeared off my PC
Has this ever happened to anyone? I did not uninstall it or anything. It is just gone. I did reactivate my system mechanic yesterday but I noticed its gone from my PC as well.

Something might have done a 'system restore'.


Are you saying that the Program folder is gone?
eg C:\Program Files\Calibre2

Or are the desktop/start menu items just MIA?

Your books (The Library), were never gone.
Calibre the program might have uninstalled. That ALWAYS LEAVES the settings and Libraries.
So when you reinstalled, if found the settings, which points to the Library.

I'd say something uninstalled calibre.

When calibre is uninstalled it does not delete its configuration data from %Appdata% or the libraries - so a fresh install will use the existing configuration and libraries.

If you didn't uninstall calibre, then my suspicion would fall on the "reactivated system mechanic" - dock his pay
