Likebook Mars - Latest Update Induced Problems

Hello:

Upon installing the latest Likebook Mars Update - build number - byread-v1.0.6-2019012522 - the Likebook Mars cover no longer induces the screensaver and sleep (having worked for months previously).

Restarting doesn't help, and there does not appear to be a cover sleep specific power setting, unless I am missing something.

The power button induces the screensaver normally - but I much prefer the cover induced sleep function.

That is odd as it should induce sleep when it detects magnets around the border of the cover as I don't believe it has a proximity sensor. Mine still works if possible back up your books and do a factory reset of the new firmware. Could also try removing the lock pass code if you have one then readding it. Or temporarily adding one if you don't have one.

Hello:

It turns out that the magnetic piece in my Likebook Mars cover (the official cover sold on Amazon) had come loose and was no longer in the correct position, as confirmed by 1) identifying a loose piece floating around under the front skin, and 2) obtaining a replacement that works.

That this can happen to a cover that has never been subject to unusual wear and that has never even been taken out of the house is somewhat disconcerting.

The proximity of the failure to the latest Boyue update was purely coincidental.

Glad you figured it out. Sounds like the glue wasn't set long enough before assembly. You bought your cover separately or the included one was the one that failed?
