Ipad Pro gen 3 help

Love Calibre but I bought a new ipad pro gen3 and how do I get books from my library to my ipad? I have tried calibre companion and for some reason it will not let me download it to my ipad, have tried to use the content server but I can't connect to it from my ipad browser. Any other suggestions I want to use overdrive as my reader but I am open to others if I can just get it to work.

Content server connection problems (WiFi) usually break down to a few reasons
1) different Network (subnet)
2) Different WiFi band (both ends are WiFi)
3) Firewall blocking
4) Access point firewalls peer connections by default (and always for a Guest connection)

CC has a FAQ page that covers these issues

The first test: Can you get to the content server using the Browser on the server host machine?
