Forget and unused string in translation
Special character description strings are not used (the hover text used is the english string), probaly a bug because the translated sting exists.
There are also some unused strings, mostly old historical strings. A cleaning would be nice, but not absolutely necessary (and a little tedious) I just point it out. Incidentally, the alphabetical sorting is imperfect: 1) He is of the type ABC...abc 2) Incompatible with accents ACEG...ÀÉ (but is other mecanique) Last edited by un_pogaz; 01-24-2019 at 05:03 AM. |

I'll be honest: the tooltips for these special characters are fairly meaningless to me--even in my native language. The display of the character ç itself will always assist me more than a description like "small c with cedilia" will. *shrug* We don't do any alphabetical sorting of the symbols to my knowledge (other than manually creating the string lists in a similar order to the way an OS-level Character Map program, or an online reference chart, would display them). There are no strings to be translated that are unused.
The list of strings to be translated is built directly from the source code files of Sigil by a Qt tool that extracts them to recreate the base.ts file. We push the latest version of the base.ts file to master about 2 weeks before a release and it is auto-detected as changed by transifex and then translators get a chance to translate any new strings. We then extract the updated base.ts files from each language and rename them to sigil_XX.ts and they get pushed to our source tree. A release build of Sigil will then use these newly added ts files and create the qm files that the Sigil binary and Qt needs. |
