Amazon Book + Comfort light
Hello , I was just about to purchase the new kindle paperwhite since I heard it has comfort light but now I see a lot of reviews says it doesn't have it so I am looking for Ereader that can read amazon books(android I think is only option here) and with comfort light(Warm 3000k ish light) and under 130$ with global shipping since I live in place where they are not the norm(MENA region).

You need to learn about a program called Calibre and the Apprentice Alf plug-ins that let you remove the DRM so you can read on anything you want. |

If you choose to do that as well, make sure you go to Tools/Options and uncheck 'Automatically install updates without asking me' I would suggest trying that first to see if your Arabic books will then be available without KFX. I've heard Alf has tools that can dr-DRM KFX, but I've never used them since I've avoided KFX altogether. For further help with dr-DRM, go to Alf's blog. We're a little limited here in what we can discuss. Last edited by ZodWallop; 12-22-2018 at 12:42 PM. |

I see that Dr-drm dropped support for android app ,and the kfx fix doesn't work on newer versions anyway, I guess I need to wait for miracle or just go find books outside amazon which is bit hard to find well formatted epub books since most arabic books are just photocopy pdfs so it's annoying. |

As most of the ereaders with comfortlight are Kobo readers, you might want to ask, over in the Kobo section of mobileread, about the availability of arabic books from the kobo website. This would avoid Amazon altogether.
Eventually, I'm sure Amazon will develop an ereader with blue light reduction, but they're not available yet. Although it's not an eink reader, I wonder if anyone knows whether there's a blue light reduction app for the Kindle Fire? |

I got my Kobo Clara which has comfort light for $99 from Walmart and I customized my Clara to remove the Walmart affiliate logo.

It's a cleverly chosen name, I think. The light does feel more "comforting" in a dark room, when compared to a Paperwhite. Warmer, softer, comforting are perhaps not scientifically objective words, but they're not inaccurate for describing the difference the colour change makes. Kudos to whoever coined "Comfort light", even if its very success has made it a generic
