So i think im gonna order a kobo clara HD, how do you feel about it?

anyone who has a kobo clara hd, can you tell me how you feel about it? the pros and cons before I order. I'm concerned about the screen and contrast the most. i need dark crisp text. but i would like to know your opinions on the device

I've been using it for a month, before I had a Kindle Voyage that stole me ... The kobo Clara is a great reader in the evening with automatic lighting, tends to yellow and painlessly less eyes. The only real problem, in my opinion is the standard dictionary, many times does not recognize the words. I feel anyway to recommend it to you.

I'm a long-time NOOK user, but I love my Clara HD. One of the perks of going with a Kobo is the ease with which fonts can be added. The yellow back-light is wonderful; I even use it in the daytime.

The screen contrast seems fine to me. There are side-by-side comparison videos of various ereaders available on YouTube; that might be a good way to gauge whether the Clara will suit your needs.

The Clara is a great reader. I bought one 6 weeks ago and fell in love with it. Very clear, very light, very compact. And the comfort light is a great feature, one that enhanced my affection for the Clara when I figured out how to use it properly. I think you'll like it.

That said, I'm still gonna plug the H2O2. Mine arrived on Monday, and already the Clara's gathering dust. The extra screen size for very little overall extra size is great, it has the same comfort light, the same storage, and is waterproof. Definitely worth thinking about, imo.

I thought I didn't, but mine does. However, I have to fiddle with the comfort light settings to see it, and it's a barely there problem for me. It never detracted from the reading experience for me, even after I discovered that mine does have the issue

ok thanks again if the Clara HD had the orange Comfort light like the H2O2 rather than the yellow one and the light bleed problem was fixed i would have been tempted to invest in one. but hey it's no biggie

best wishes koboy

I don't believe my Clara has the light bleed issue. I actually had to look it up to see what it was. No, doesn't have it. It's such a beautiful clear screen. I love the Clara!

The nook glowlight i seen had the best screen clarity ive seen on an ereader. It was amazing. And my paperwhite 4 looked washed out

The contrast is clean and enlarging the font does not shred, another small defect perhaps (comparing to the kindle) below you see the halos of the lights, but in an almost imperceptible way. All in all, I'm happy with the transition from Kindle to kobo Clara.

True. Thanks, interesting, think that I was really interested (given the price in this black friday) to buy it, the only thing I regret my kindle voyage is the dictionary both in the original language and in English, it is really poor, and a bunch of sometimes it does not recognize the definitions, the kindle also recognized all the conjugations of the verbs. As you said, the kobo with the same pixel 300ppi is much better.
