Getting multiple copies when I change author name

When I change an authors name from FN LN to LN, FN, I get the error message: "Could not change the disk location of this book. Is it open in another program?" Calibre then creates a new directory with the ebook LN, FN but leaves a copy of the ebook in the directory FN LN.

That normally means that you have some other software (e.g. Virus checker) that is interfering with Calibre’s when it tries to rename a file/folder. You can also get symptoms like this if the Calibre library is a folder being synced in real time to cloud storage.

Also have read the following FAQ to see if you have any of the conditions or third party gadgets it mentions installed ==>>> calibre freezes/crashes occasionally?
