Anyone got album art working on a 505?

Sorry if this is a dupe. I did a search for this, but didn't find a match.

What format do my music album art covers have to be in? I've tried both png and jpg with no luck.

I've also tried naming the file after the album name and also the "standard" folder.jpg. Still no joy.

Can anyone help me?

I think you're in uncharted territory, there, mitchelln -- if anyone's worked on that project before, I totally missed it.

Perhaps it can't do it. It was the review of the device on the Register that said it displayed their album art when playing mp3s.

Has anyone actually seen it do this?

I recall that my 500 displayed some sort of image with the MP3 files that shipped on it, but I'm not sure it was actual album art ....

Album art has to be embedded in the file. The files tagged by iTunes should work.

Of course, Album Art does make the music files larger. And to be honest, do you really need it? I know I don't.
