Calibre Multiple Library Issue
On my previous Calibre install I had two libraries, PDF and EPUB. Using the backup tool I backed up the library (epub showing at the time). Upon moving to another pc and using the import feature I now only have the PDF library. How can I install the other library?
When I tried to import again from the same folder it just re-imported the PDF library. |

When you import an (Export/Import) session.
It asks which Library and/or settings. If it didn't, then there is a posibility that there is only ONE library in that archive. EXPORT uses the Libraries KNOWN to Calibre ( on the Switch Library list) (there was a confirmation of what to include at the beginning of the task) |

Hi theducks. In terms of the import I pointed it towards the folder where the.part files were and they imported but did not show as a recognised type of file. On export, the dialogue showed two distinct libraries.
During backup, library one backed up to the part files folder then the other library was selected and continued to back up to the same folder. If there is no other way of doing the imports at the same time I'm thinking of exporting to separate locations. |

I used it quite a while ago (not something you need regular like if you are careful
![]() It worked for me, populating a (then) new computer with 4 Libraries. Exported (just left all of the items ticked). Imported (IIRC I had to create destination folders and indicate the NEW path) In another case, I just imported the settings (AKA Preferences) Kovid: The Help page is awful thin ![]() |

Got it! In the end, had to create lots of weird paths due to the metadata/empty folders warning but now have the two libraries. Exported to two separate locations and imported to two. The only issue was getting library one recognised after number two was installed, pointing at the old library worked.
