Book name, series and author
I’m not experienced with Calibre but need to fix a problem. When I look at the book info in the calibre library the title info reads the way I want I to to load into my kindle but when I send to device either through calibre or email the title only has the name and author.
The way I want is; title, series, series index, author What I get is; title, author Any help with this will be appreciated. Please remember i’m Not dum just not calibre language savvy. Thanks Fred |

You can do this by using metadata plugboards. Preferences -> Metadata Plugboards. First you have to choose the format and the device (I have only Kindles, so I use any format and any device). Next, enter the source template, for example {title} {series:| (|} {series_index:||)} (that's what I use), the destination field is title. Save the plugboard. When you send your next book to your Kindle, you should see the title as you wanted.

Thanks that seems to work. Now can you help me in another matter? I was mistaken about the library entry it only shows the title and author. How can I get it to show the same info: title, series, series index, author. Now it just shows title and author.

Use the Plugboard, because Kindles don't understand series (and don't use the filename) {series} {series index} - {title} -> {title} Set file types, and Kindle (model) AND Mail, AND save to disk <<< THAT IS 3 TEMPLATES Kindles know how to do by Author |
