How can I change the default application within Calibre when opening a PDF? Now it opens Adobe Reader, but I would like to open another application. Can somebody let me know how to do that, because I can not find the setting?
Thanks in advance Marco |

Since you're seeing Adobe Reader launch, your OS (and NOT calibre) is calling it. To change that default you have to make the necessary change in your OS. The method varies with the OS. Alternately, you can use Open with..., as mentioned by phossler, to bypass using calibre's ebook-viewer and/or the OS's default. |

If the program you want isn't shown use the Add another program for PDF files option. In Preferences->Keyboard you can give that program its own shortcut keyboard shortcut BR Last edited by BetterRed; 10-14-2018 at 05:57 PM. |
