Download and delete issues

Question 1.When downloading to the kindle app on my ipad air it sometimes shows as a blue line and sometimes its a green line, what is the difference?
Question 2. Some books will let me delete and some will only give the option to archive,why is that and how do I delete in this case?

Green means that enough of the book has downloaded so that you can open it and start reading, even though the download is not complete. Blue means that the book cannot yet be opened. (Only books in KFX format support the ability to open while the download is in progress.)

If the app knows that the book is on your Amazon account it will show "archive". If it thinks the book was side-loaded then it will show "delete". (Sometimes it gets this wrong.)

If a book is associated with you Amazon account you can permanently remove it using the "Manage Your Content and Devices" web page.
