Is there a way to import book description

I apologize, I tried to search for this. I would like to add the book description that I download into Calibre into the books I convert. Is this possible?

If yo Send to Device, it updates the devices metadata on the fly

If you use any of the following tools (as the format permits) it updates the stored copies

You could put it in a so-called 'Book Jacket' page - which will appear towards the front of the book - in an ePub I think it is injected after the cover.

You may have to customaze the format with an override - see Calibre User Manual: Overriding icons, templates, et cetera

For existing books the jacket can be added via the Polish Book tool.
