Hi the other i accidentally switched to device view(my dropbox) is connected and realized half the library on device is not showing like on calibre. I can individually edit and match books and update cache. But I have 10000 books so it would be tedious. Is there a plugin or short cut to update device where calibre library is automatically saved exactly like it on device? I am attaching screenshots of calibre library and second shot is device view TIA

If the device (folder) is connected
the 2 search keywords ondevice and inlibrary apply, depending on the view. The not, usually inverts the results to find those in the Library, but not the folder In Library view search not ondevice: true to find those not in the folder. to find things in the folder, but not in the library. Library view search not inlibrary: false |

InLibrary only works from Device view. (BTW was the on device column just off screen. the device must be connected for either direction to work)

Looking at the screenshots, in the device view, I can see a lot of books with the author and title swapped. If you have fixed these in the library, that would prevent the matching. And the author formats are a mix of "LN, FN" and "FN FN". The former is likely to cause mismatching. If you have been cleaning up the metadata, I would suggest removing the books that look like the have metadata problems from the "device" and resending them. There is a good chance they will match after that. Hopefully that will reduce the problem to a more manageable state. |
