Help please -using Sony PRS 505 outside US
Hallo
I just had a friend bring me the sony PRS 505 from the US and I would like to use it in Switzerland. How would I be able to buy books from the sony store or alternatively where can I buy books to use on the reader? (and how do I transfer these books from the computer to the device). Is it possible to buy with a swiss credit card providing I provide a US adress?
Any help will be appreciated.

Hi Joan and welcome to the Forum. Plenty of your countrymen will chime in here and give you good advice on getting books for your reader. meanwhile, you can upload free books from this site here https://www.mobileread.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=126

Also, there are members here in the US who can buy Sony Gift Cards for you. I think they usually do the exchange via PayPal.

Welcome to the forum.

Your best bet is to learn how to use convertlit and calibre and you can buy ebooks from Fictionwise. Search here there are many threads on doing this. I think too you will find more of a selection and better prices at fictionwise than you will on the Sony ebook store.

That said, I think you will need a US card and address to buy at the sony store. However, I have bought gift cards for several members here and they are able to then use the Sony ebook store. However, I think they still had to use a US address when they registered there Account/Software... not 100% sure on that one.
