Kobo Aura blacks

Hello, my Kobo Aura has a problem: in pages with big areas of blacks (say: also when you power off the Kobo), blacks are not visible.

They seem more like a light grey (check the pictures, specially 4.jpg).

The e-reader hasn't got any liquid in it, and I bought about 2 years ago. Can you help me identifying the problem? (screen / battery, and so on)

It looks like "ghosting." How often do you have the screen refresh itself?

Thanks for your reply, but changing refresh rate didn't solve the problem.

Instead I solved the problem playing with brightness controls: put to 0%, then to 100%, after that to desired brightness level.

The problem seems to have disappeared... And, as Murphy could say: "If it works, don't ask yourself why"

Very happy to hear you found a solution that worked. Maybe there was some corruption in the memory that you cleared by resetting the brightness level? (I'm just taking a wild guess.)
