empty library

Dear All,

Before I do something stupid I'd better ask for advice. I have my Calibre library in OneDrive on my computer (and of course on the Internet). I changed the location of my OneDrive on my computer to an external drive. After I had done this, I did "run the welcome wizzard" and choose the new location of my library. Calibre opens, but no books are showing. I am on Windows 10 and the metadata file is still in the Calibre folder. What's the best way forward, without losing all of my own information that I put into Calibre.

Perhaps you might consider downloading Calibre Portable onto the drive, then copying the configuration folder from "roaming" onto it, then do a straight up copy of the entire library folder to the drive. If you do it right you can open the Calibre and point it to the downloaded library on the flash drive and all your settings should follow. I did that when I needed an "extra" Calibre to point to redundant libraries on a drive but didn't want it to stay on my computer.
