Is it possible to download only part of a language dictionary?

I was downloading a portuguese dictionary into my kindle and in the homescreen there seemed to be two dictionaries, one in the cue while the other was downloading. I thought I had requested the download twice and cancelled the second one. However, when I was setting my device to the new dictionary I noticed there were two new options, one was Portuguese and the other Portuguese-English (translation). I have tested both and so far all the words that I selected worked just fine. But my concern is that by cancelling the download it might have download only part of one of them, and I have no idea which one it was. Is it possible? Or my Kindle would have warned me or even instantly downloaded the rest of it when WiFi was turned back on?
