I have been having a problem with auto-adding books stopping. I leave Calibre running all the time so I can access my library away from home. If I start Calibre auto-adding works fine. If I add books to the designated folder later in the day or the next, auto-adding does not recognize or import them. I have to restart Calibre every time I want to use auto add. I have the most current python version, most current Calibre and all Win10 updates.

On startup calibre scans the auto-add folder nad adds all files in it. If adding files the rest of the time is not working, it means file system notifications are not working on your system for some reason. You can try runnign calibre in debug mode (right click the preferences button) and see if anything is present in the log when auto-add fails.

Debug report
This is part of the debug report. I see it indicates Windows errors. My system is not set up to sleep and/or log off ever. I could understand not finding an additional hard drive but as you can see it also indicates not finding C drive. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!

You've got something on your computer that is deleting temp files still in use. Typically something like a "file cleaner" or "computer speedup" program. Either find it and disable it or tell calibre to use some directory inside your home folder as a temp dir so that the program does not touch it, via the environment variable CALIBRE_TEMP_DIR as described here: https://manual.calibre-ebook.com/cus...ment-variables
