Sideloading to Kindle for iPad

Hi,

I am trying to sideload a book to the Kindle App on my iPad (I want all my books on one app) but it doesn't seem to work in any way I can think of.

The original book is an ePub, which I converted to azw3 in Calibre.

iTunes offers the option of loading files to the Kindle app, and claims to succeed, but the app does not seem to see the book.

I tested the file in Kindle for Mac, and it seems to work ok. However, there's no internal mechanism in the Kindle Mac app to open a file from a folder; rather, one has to right click on the file and open it in Kindle.app from the contextual menu.

Does anybody know how to get a file onto the Kindle iPad app?

Thanks.

Kindle for iOS does not support KF8 (azw3) format.

The main e-book formats supported by Kindle for iOS are MOBI, AZK, and KFX.

MOBI is an older format with limited formatting. AZK is similar to KF8 and can be created using Kindle Previewer. KFX provides the Enhanced Typesetting features.
