I really like Banoffee cake.

But I also like treacle pudding and custard.

Which should I get?

Never heard of banoffee cake. I can only find recipes for banoffee pie but it sounds delicious. It has my vote.

It's a basic sponge cake, two layers of sponge with a cream in the middle, topped with more cream, soft toffee bits and whipped cream. And extra cream.

It's very... well, creamy, actually. But it's very subtly both ban and offee, which I do like.

But it's a smidgeon cold here today, and so a warm pudding might be just the thing. It's a very difficult choice, I tell you.

I do love me some walnut cake from Tesco, it's true, although dates are not my thing.

But I think you're missing the point of cake; the only cakes that are healthy are also known as 'vegetables'.

Or Blackforest Gateau!!!!
Or those melt-in-the-middle chocolate puds from M&S with the Fairtrade chocolate truffle dipping sauce (which I've somehow managed to resist every time I've ever been past it but am dying to try)!!!!

Bread and butter pudding with custard is good too.
