Greetings

I'm not, I suppose, really a mobile reader yet. I used to read a lot on various Palm devices using eReader, but stopped when I left the Palm platform.

I am taking the plunge again after playing with a Sony Reader in my local Waterstones (and if anyone knows anywhere I can actually buy one I'd love to know!)

The motivation comes from a combination of geekery - I love gadgets - and the fact I just don't have space for more books!

That's what brings us all here, I suspect! I have a Kindle, but I'm sure you'll love whichever device you get. And this place is the BEST place to learn and get help about it. Welcome!

Updated the profile now... In London, but yet to find anywhere that hasn't sold out. I'm beginning to think online is the best bet. I'm really surprised at how popular it is been (or how little stock Waterstone's had).

Hello and welcome. I was really curious about your comment that you had seen the Reader in Waterstones, but then asked where you could buy it. It didn't immediately come to mind that the store was sold out. Once you get a Reader, check out all the lovely BBeB books posted to the upload forum here at MobileRead.

I'm currently reading The Lies of Locke Lamora on my Sony Reader. It's a delightful fantasy and I'm really glad to have it. I do have a long stack of other books queued up to read -- many of which were uploaded here by Dr. Drib.
