Any way to improve page navigation on the PW?

I find the page turn system annoying and limited. I can only turn a page by tapping about 75% of the right side of the screen. When I tap near the top, I get the menu. The left is dedicated to previous page which I rarely use, so why is 50% of the page tap space dedicated to it? I know I can swipe, but I don't like swiping, except for previous page. Ideally I would like to make the whole screen do a next page on a tap, with the center showing the menu.

Is there anyway to change screen tap navigation? My PW is jailbreaked so I can happily apply a hack.

Have you tried swiping? Maybe you can swipe to the left where you cannot tap.

You cannot change the tap zones even with jail break. Only option to turn page at the very top and bottom is with a swipe. A swipe from up to down does nothing on a PW. Useful if you want to wipe off dirt from the screen.

The part on the left to go back is relatively small. Holding it in left hand, I can reach over with thumb to go forward instead of back.

It works for me as it is. I usually hold my PW, in the Amazon Kindle case which I consider the best available, and I can page forward with no problem. Since page forward area is 2/3 of the screen I cannot reach over to page back with my thumb. I have to use my free hand to page back. If I'm holding the PW in my left hand I can page back easily and reach over to page forward.

I need mechanical page turn buttons about as much as I need a hand crank on the starter of my car.

That's good to know. I liked the way the Touch used up and down swipes to move by chapter (forward or backward). I miss that in the "New Touch."

If I have the choice, I don't like touching the screen for page turns. I guess that's why choice is good.

I always swipe to change pages. It determines which way to go by the direction of the swipe so it doesn't matter if you swipe inside the tap zone or not.
