first week with the Cybook

I have had my Cybook for a week now.
Some thoughts.
The display ROCKS!!!! It is beautiful.
The black flash is not as distracting as I thought it would be.
It is so light and thin it is almost not there.
Battery looks to be long life.
I have not done any marathon reading on it yet but I have not had to charge it more then the first time.
Plenty of memory. Can hold lots of books.
OK now for the odd.
Some times when I change pages it wont. I press the button the little light gos green and then gos out but no page change.
Press it again and the page changes.
Before the Cybook I had a Ebookman. Compared to that it is a little slow changing.
It also locked up on me once but a reset fixed that.
That is my thoughts after then first week.
Mel W.
P.S. That display is just great!

Hello Melw,

Glad you like it. I have mine for three weeks now and still love it.

Just one tip. Update to build 796. It has a much better PDF-handling and the problem with the missing pageturns will be gone.

Now I've had mine for a few months... I still can't stand the black flash. Thankfully the no flash option is just fine. I don't have any gripes about it.

It's a personal thing, I guess. I thought I'd dislike the flash, but I'm one of those who doesn't notice it at all anymore. Turning it off diminishes the display quality a little bit on my unit, so I keep it on.

Still happy with mine.
I installed the update but still sometimes get the page turn failure. No big deal. It is less then before. Thanks for the advise.
