RTF to MOBI - bad formatting of Bullets
When converting an .rtf file to MOBI (for use on a Kindle Paperwhite), the Calibre program creates bullets that look okay within the MOBI viewer inside Calibre, but when I transfer the MOBI file to the Kindle, there is a line break immediately after every bullet.
The formatting in the .rtf file is as simple as simple can be: I'm using MSWord 2010 and using just the standard bulleted list, nothing weird. (This is happening to me in all of my documents with bullets.) Any suggestions for fixing this? Thank you! |

Thank you for the response!

But I'll try the AZW3 route. My Paperwhite Kindle is the first Paperwhite model, so it has a few years on it. |

Okay, I tried the AZW3 format and it took care of the annoying line breaks, but now it's messing up the indentation:
--The first major bullet is fine, as are the two sub-bullets underneath it. --But the fourth and fifth bullets, which are also major bullets and should have the same indentation (and bullet shape) as the first bullet, are now instead being treated as sub-bullets. |

I think I'll go with the .AZW3 format and just put up with the miss-categorized bullets.
(I've since noticed, BTW, that the major-bullets-being-treated-as-sub-bullets issue was also present in the MOBI format when read on the Kindle Paperwhite 1.) However, should anyone know of a simple setting that will fix the mistreated bullets, I'm all ears... |

Remember that calibre does not have a mobi reader; rather it does a quick conversation to Epub and displays the resulting content.
