Kobo mobile site menu wonky? (ipad)

Edit: I'm not happy that submenus now seem to be hover-over instead of click. That means they don't work on my ipad, which is primarily where I do my kobo shopping.

Normally, when I go to the headers on the main Kobo (Canada) site ("Ebooks", "Audiobooks", "Apps & Ereaders", "Superpoints"), there's a little downward arrow beside each header that will open a submenu. I use it to go to daily deals under "Ebooks".

I'm finding on the mobile site that the submenus won't open and it just takes me to the general page. The submenus work on my desktop.

Anyone else getting this behaviour? It's happening on both Chrome and Safari on my ipad. I can't browse genres unless I go to the "Browse Categories", but the daily deals aren't under there.

It might be a setting on my browser, but I don't know.

It seems the ipad is sending me to desktop site and those buttons are now hover over instead of submenus you can click on. The mobile site loads on my phone.
