More than one ereader
For those of us that have more than one ereader, why? Currently I have only my Samsung Galaxy J7, however I have had multiple in the past. Sometimes because one was on the way out and the other was on the way in.

Different circumstances.

Most of my commuting reading (from Amazon) is done on the iPhone Kindle app because I can hold the phone in one hand easily and slip it into a small pocket when I'm changing platforms. I read non-fiction (mostly) and graphic novels or PDFs on the iPad because of the larger screen. Non-Amazon purchases are read on the Icarus which also acts as a back-up Kindle reader if I run out of battery on the iPad or iPhone. The Icarus and the iPad are a fiddle on the commute because I transport them in a zipped compartment in my bag.

Because I often cannot resist a new reader if it has a feature I would like, but I also don't want to give up my older readers if they have features that are missing in the new one.

I don't understand the question.

I have an Oasis 2, Kobo Glo HD, 2 iPad minis, 1 iPad Pro, 1 iPhone 7+, and various devices not currently being used. The ones I mentioned are all in use, although the Kobo not too much right now.

I don't understand hair dryer. Is it that noisy thing hubby uses when he gets out of the shower or defrosts the freezer?

Note: I have a few crockpots, knives and ereaders myself.

I keep my Kindle Touch around to download Amazon books in the old file format so I can then use ALF to get them into Calibre and convert to ePub.

Mostly because the old ones are so dang cheap and (to me) valuable that I can't help but collect them. I collect cheap mechanical pencils also. I always think I'm going to start a blog and compare my pencils or eReaders, but so far ... zip.

That sort of thinking is leading me dangerously close to buying myself a Nook Glowlight Plus.
