				Amazon Prime Videos

Since I have Amazon Prime one reason I bought my fire tablet was to watch free amazon prime videos. For some reason this morning while using my samsung galaxy 8 note I clicked on an amazon prime video to watch. After being prompted to download an amazon prime video app I was able to watch amazon videos on my android device to my surprise. IIRC, years ago I tried to watch amazon prime videos on android and was unable to so I never bothered to try again. Is this a new feature or was amazon prime videos always available on android devices?

The video app has been available for Android for a few years IIRC. 2014 according to wiki. Last edited by Deskisamess; 12-25-2017 at 01:24 PM. |

Yeah, I've had the app on my iphone for years but never bothered to watch free amazon prime videos on it until today. I guess I was under the wrong impression that only free prime videos were available to view on amazon fire tablets and that the app on my iphone/android tablet was for purchased videos from amazon.

I've watched Prime videos on my iDevices for years. The android version hasn't been out as long. I've never known a time when they weren't available to watch on iOS via the app. It's never been separate apps, just one Amazon video app. I remember folks on the old Amazon forums that watched videos in a browser on their android (non Amazon) devices because there was no app that worked on them. |
