Free James Rollins Sigma Force guide?

Does anyone have a link to get this supposed free eBook? The link referenced in the Goodreads page (which is to the James Rollins website) is a dead link, and I can't find it on Amazon either.

"Sigma Guide" by James Rollins

Referenced here:
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/...37-sigma-guide

Here's the (dead) link provided in the Goodreads article:
http://www.jamesrollins.com/books/view/36

Thanks!

You might inquire at his website about the Guide. Perhaps there's some information there.

The Goodreads article is written in first person, apparently by James Rollins himself. He didn't say anything about "for a limited time". It was an electronic version only, so it's not like they printed a batch and then ran out.

I did sign up on the Rollins website, so that I could ask my question there. Its rather convoluted. You sign up, then get an email you need to respond to confirming that you signed up (which I did), and then you have to wait for 24-72 hours (per the website) before they will deliver you a password. I assume after that, you are allowed to login to their website and ask your question. I thought I'd ask here too, while I was waiting. Sorry to have bothered anybody, that's not what I intended. I was just hoping that somebody else here was a Rollins fan and may know something about this.

That's what I'm hoping. I found that guide page earlier, and it is what prompted me to sign up for the Rollins website (before I asked the question here). I just thought others here might have tried something similar, and could tell me the answer before I end up waiting for (up to) 72 hours to find out it's another dead end. I'm just impatient I guess!

Thanks

Hi. The page said it would send you the password within 24 to 72 hours. Means you could get it anytime.

Now as to that guide, I am guessing it either never existed or someone "borrowed" Mr. Rollins name. I noticed the date was 2012. That was the year of the posers.
Fake guides to everything and by everyone.
I even found a few books written by Bill Clinton. Now you get page not found.

The key give away was the language in the description.
Another give away is I am pretty sure the publisher controls the right to the series.
Lastly, the formats offered didn't sound right for a BPH.

The guide is real. I received the password from the James Rollins website and logged in and went to their "Guides" webpage. https://jamesrollins.com/reader-guides/ There is a guide for the Sigma Force novels, and one for the Individual Adventures novels. The Individual Adventures books all have their own separate guide, but you can get them all bundled together in one file, which was my preference.

All of the Individual Adventures are covered. the Sigma Force novels are covered up through Devil Colony, but the later books are not included. Looks like Rollins must have been working on writing Bloodline when the guide came out - it is briefly mentioned, but not covered. Neither is anything after Bloodline.

These guides give a pretty detailed description of the plots of the books. Each book's guide is about 5-8 pages long. Then in the Sigma Force guide, there is a separate section that describes each character of the novels. Each characters description is about 2 pages long. These guides will be very useful for me - I'm always remembering bits and pieces of Rollins' novels, and trying to recall which bit when with which novel. These guides will be great for sorting that out!

Supplied in a ZIP file that contains the guides in MOBI, EPUB, and PDF format. Plus a high resolution JPG of each of the guide covers. The Sigma Forece guide zipfile is 6.9Mb, the Individual Adventures guides zipfile is 19.5Mb.

I can see how a writer might need guides like this for their long series that run over a period of many years. I can just see them thinking, "I'll bring the Jenifer character back. Wait, was she 5'2" or 5'8"? Geez, I wish I could remember!" You know that some series READERS would pick up on a mistake like that in a heartbeat, and thrash the author mercilessly about it.
