Losing Reading Lists, CAn't Addto Device etc

Having a ton O' problems, I'll list 2 for now ;-( ...

1. Via another thread I started and ya all were dandy enough to give suggestions, I settled on Reading Lists. The problem that I have, now that I finally afforded a reader for me and could give my older HP to the wife, is that after I create 2,3,4 and close out Calibre, when reloaded, they disappear?!? Do NOT understand.

2. Attached the HP to Calibre, configured it, rebooted it, "Show(ed) books On Card A" and it pulls up the 3 that are there. As I add books, they are immediately uploaded to the device and I can not find anywhere it has been told to do that.

2a. Once I have the books pulled from the device, how do I make that a reading list that I can add books to and THEN upload them to THAT device and always have that available to change?

MANY MANY thanks in advance! I'm trying really hard to use Calibre (paid for YEARS ago) and the closer I get to getting it to do what I want, the farther away it gets!

Paid who! AFAIK Calibre has always been free, even before it it was calibre, i.e.when it was libprs500.

I don't use the RL PI in conjunction with uploading to a device so can't answer those issues. Except to say you should post them in the RL PI thread ==>> https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=134856

Reading lists operate within a calibre library, so you won't see the RL's you added to Library A, if you're currently looking at Library B.

BTW - what is the HP, a computer of some sort or an eBook Reader?

I happen to remember paying for it at a time when it wasn't donations.

I stand corrected.

They didn't show no matter what, or where I was. I have found a better solution though, so it's a moot point now.

HP - Hewlett Packard? I supposed I should have pointed out what it was, a HP 7 - a 7" Tablet that, now, the wife uses as a reader.
