Aura H2O Stuck on importing content can't reset.

How long will I have to wait for this damn thing to let me do a forced reset. This is why I hate only one physical button. Aparenty the pm is broken as hlding it for 30s does not a goddamn thing.

There's actually two physical buttons. Have you tried the pinhole reset button next to the microUSB port?

Should say that I fuond that thing and pressed it tinking it'd factory reset it and prepared for the worst. It did reset for some reason teh thinghas an issue with them. It cannot import the new epubs into the things main menu and only works when I reset it andlet the books go into it.

They're not standard epubs though they're rather big ~5-6MiB per book.

it's the noes with comments. It's the only way to power down and then restart and let itimport that way. Using calibre, and just putting it on the sd card through the usb cord doesn't workeither.

How long does it take before it appears to be stuck? What firmware are you using? if it's not the latest. try the latest.

latest and since I now have the files on there I'm leary(sp?) of trying to redo the thing again.

One suggestion is to try what JSWolf suggested and put on one book at a time to see if you can locate the book that has issues.

On the other hand, I downloaded all 12 of the commented versions, ran them through epubcheck which was not overly happy (mostly due to the & # 13s inside the <pre> tags>. Also they claim to be epub3 but the declaration for the cover image in content.opf was an epub2 version. After I corrected the various errors (nicely consistent so I could simply run the same changes on each epub) and then uploaded them to my KA1, they processed happily enough. The cover images didn't show on the KA1 until I used Kobo Utilities to upload them and did a power cycle to clear the cached first page of the book as cover. Perhaps using the first file in the text area to display the cover image would have been a better idea...
