Contacted Amazon to remove special offers, ScreenSaver Hack?

Hello! I recently got special offers removed from my Kindle 4, I've been trying to install the Screensaver hack, but I guess it's not working because I get an error when I try to update! I just wanted to confirm if there was no way that I could get custom screensavers, even if I got the offers removed..
