Metadata involving Calibre server

Trying to figure out the best way to do this

Is there a way to force refresh metadata in your calibre library via command line preferably by searching the entire folder instead of having to change the command for each individual book.

I am running it on a headless server so I don't have access to the gui portion of the program.

Currently I don't think it is grabbing meta data at all, although I could be wrong I would preferably like to get the metadata from goodreads

I Think I would probably have to do it with the calibredb command but I have no Idea if it even allows for such a thing

I'm not sure what you are asking. If you mean you want calibre to download metadata for books in a library serverd using calibre-server, then the way to do it is by combining calibredb and fetch-ebook-metadata. Read the manual pages for both those tools.

That is one of my issues, fetch-ebook-metadata doesn't seem to be an acceptable command for calibredb

and on the fetch-ebook-metadata page it says it only takes options like authors covers help ect.

Command I would be trying would be calibredb fetch-ebook-metadata (Rest of stuff)
Quotations are not there of course
